Anticipation

We're off again!  On Oct. 1 we will leave for Greece, where we'll spend a few days on Rhodes, following which we'll fly to Athens to join a Melton trip focused on the history of Jewish Greece.

The Island of Rhodes, although Greek, is just off of the coast of Turkey, 270 miles southeast of Athens.  We haven’t been there in almost 50 years, since we lived in Athens from July, 1968 to June, 1970, and we are very much anticipating our return.  On October 7 we will fly to Athens and meet up with our Melton group.  We have traveled many times with Melton, headquartered at Hebrew University in Jerusalem, and have enjoyed all the experiences; we anticipate this trip will be no different.  The itinerary can be seen here:

Assuming our travel goes without complications, the next post will be from Rhodes.
